BRITTANY RUDY, PH.D.
Dr. Rudy, a licensed clinical psychologist, serves as the Clinical Director of Vive Greenville and oversees clinical services and training. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in anxiety disorders from Louisiana State University. Prior to her doctoral training, Dr. Rudy, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Clemson University. During her time at LSU, Dr. Rudy completed her master’s and doctorate with an emphasis on the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, with a concentration in pediatrics and a secondary specialty in autism spectrum disorders. Following her doctoral training, Dr. Rudy completed a clinical internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She then completed a specialty postdoctoral fellowship at the University of South Florida’s Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry in association with John’s Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her specialty concentration during fellowship was treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in intensive and non-intensive formats for adults and youth. Dr. Rudy has specialty training in Exposure with Response Prevention and other empirically supported behavioral and cognitive-behavioral techniques for treating anxiety and related disorders. She also has specific training in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and behavior concerns in young children, below the age of 8 years. Dr. Rudy has been heavily involved in research of evidence-based treatment techniques for young children with anxiety, as well as augmentation and individualization of established practices to enhance treatment of anxiety disorders. She is committed to dissemination of empirically supported techniques across her local community.
In her spare time, Dr. Rudy enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She and her family enjoy an active lifestyle of outdoors and adventure activities, attending sporting events, and spending time with friends.
